[THE MAFIA]
Mafia Family: The Zeks
Alias: "Dreamer" Lyle
Current Position: Soldier
Specialty: Execution - torture and kidnapping aside, Meserid was taught by his father how to clean out even the messiest of murder scenes. After every kill, he's able to wipe the areas almost as if nothing ever happened.

[COMBAT/ABILITIES]
Class: Support
Talents
- Cleaning
- Kidnapping (with or without hypnotism)
- Alertness

As a blind psychic, he is able to “see” the “energy” of both living beings and lifeless objects. The aura of most objects appear black, which doesn’t help his blindness much. All individuals are said to possess a distinct energy, and can be easily distinguished if Meserid becomes fond with the person. This includes both friends and mortal enemies. Strangers can be mistaken for others. By consuming all of his energy, he can “view” the world through an “alternate plane of existence” for a temporary amount of time; at most, 24 hours. It’s unknown whether this level is the dream, spirit, or “dark” world. Meserid claims he sees all three (everything is energy). When finished, he might enter a deep trance that can take up to 7 days.

Ability: Insomnia
Type: Psychic
:bulletyellow: Psyshock
:bulletwhite: Brick Break
:bulletyellow: Hypnosis
:bulletwhite: Dream Eater

Meserid is not much of a fighter, and he's not a big fan of guns either. If ever provoked, he is creative and tricky, using his head, his powers, and practically anything he can get his hands on when fighting. His favourite weapons of choice are construction tools (hammer, hacksaw, power drill…). Because he hardly has any experience, he's not a good dodger at all.

His substitute pendulum, a pocket watch which was passed down from his mother, is connected to the “alternate plane of existence” (see Talents). It’s supposedly a half of Meserid, which stores “trance” energy. A mere glance at it will make nearly anyone drowsy. This excludes Meserid and Insomniacs.

[HISTORY]
Before Meserid was born, his soon-to-be parents lived a comfortable life in France…as it would seem. A man known as Jach “Chat Jaun” LeVide, played a kind and friendly character who earned money through hard labor. A blind and intelligent psychic, Mademoiselle Reverchie, fell for his welcoming charms after years of knowing each other. The two wed, and soon enough, Reverchie was pregnant.

When Meserid was almost due, she waited for her husband one night. He came through the door, a bloodied wrench in his partially stained hands and outfit. Questions and tension filled the area; minutes passed, her husband cut the argument off, and threatened to shoot her. When she froze, he revealed to her his REAL job; working for the French mafia and gaining the money they needed on top of what he stole from his victims. If Reverchie ever told anyone, he informed, he would kill the baby.

As a young Drowzee, Meserid was extremely shy and insecure because of his blindness, a reason he keeps his eyes shut. He was very dependent on his parents, particularly his father, who can actually see. Reverchie tried to cut Meserid off from Jach for his own good, even taught him how to channel his psychic power after homeschool to protect himself whenever he might have to use it, but this only led the Drowzee to cling onto him more. Jach saw this as an opportunity to take him to work on the weekends whenever Reverchie went to bed, wondering if he would grow up to be just like him.

Indeed, he did do it, and he made sure that Meserid kept this a secret. The child was afraid at first, but only because of rejection. He grew accustomed to pain from others…and then from himself. It wasn’t the suffering he loved, it was the blood. A single drop would send him craving. Both Jach and Reverchie found him in his room, cutting himself and lapping up the red. From Jach’s perspective, he thought he was excited to kill again...Reverchie, on the other hand, felt he was depressed. She convinced Jach to move to America so Meserid could start a new life, maybe he would like the people there and befriend them unlike in his birthplace.

Upon arriving there, Reverchie made sure Meserid was doing fine. He seemed to make a lot of friends, and he opened up to people more. Meserid became social. He turned out to be a fun-loving, imaginative, and curious child who loves music. And no one would know that he was the one who murdered another kid weeks after…Reverchie caught word of this, and suspected it was Jach. Her husband went so far as to kill a youth now? She secretly joined the Law and plotted to catch him, hoping he will not take any more lives. Jach, who joined the Zeks, would be outdoors more often, performing jobs and becoming their executioner. Months passed, and Reverchie finally caught him while he was torturing a woman. He shot his wife three times before backup arrived to stop him. For the murder of several victims, including children, he was executed.

Meserid was given the bad news about his mother, but never was told it was his own father’s doing. When nights passed, and Jach didn’t come home, he knew he was dead too. Now a young Hypno, Meserid continued to stay in the same old house. Days past the deaths, Jach informed his son about the Zeks and stated he should join. With a strong sense of hearing, Meserid eventually sniffed out these Zeks and applied. However, his true intentions for joining are unknown. He needed the money, yes, but something else too…he heard stories of conflict and bloodshed…perfect. Meserid claims to be upholding his family’s honor, following in their footsteps as a powerful psychic and executioner…or does he only live for the massacre?

Perhaps it is both…but no one will ever know what he’s thinking.

[PERSONALITY]
Curious, polite, sadistic, analytical, and lax.

A loveable man…a ruthless murderer. Handsome, courteous, and laidback, there couldn’t possibly be anything wrong with him…and that’s what he wants you to think. His charm alone has covered his criminal tracks before, even if it isn’t intentional. With an extreme case of bloodlust, the slightest hint of violence will drive him to kill. His victims include people he may have a liking for, but is able to hold himself back from hurting anyone he feels close to.

Meserid likes to take actions at his own pace, but can and will get the job done on time. Never rush him, besides that it’s impolite, he feels you’re doubting him. The Hypno severely detests sympathy, not because he connects with his victims, but because the pain is not coming from the physical and mental harm he’s inflicting. He wants his targets to feel angry or afraid of him, not sorry…otherwise, his work is pointless.

Since he has had more interaction with his allies, Meserid has shown to still be dependent and clingy. He developed a “family complex”, already seeing some of his companions as a mother or father. His childishness and curiosity still exist too. This especially shows to those he has any shred of interest for. A lot of it is placed into those he catches in scenes of violence.

Likes/Dislikes

+ Sleeping (ironically saying because he's an insomniac; he pretends to sleep)
+ His job
+ Music
- Bright light
- Dead silence
- Guns
- Those who are too serious.
- Sympathy

Relationship Status: Single

[EXTRA]
Origins
- Meserid LeVide is derived from Franz Mesmer and James Braid, Hypnotists; L'appel du Vide, "Call of the Void", the French term for psychotic urges.
- Has a thick French accent. English is his second language.
- Meserid’s mother spared him from the murder case, making him innocent.
- Looks almost exactly like his mom.

Small Behaviour
- His other senses are MUCH stronger than his eyesight. Partially because he enhances these with his psychic powers, and the other part being he's used to relying on them. His sense of smell is the most powerful, aside from his ability to feel energy.
- Refers to his work as "art".
- Usually claims he’s 30 years old…other times, it’s 50, 20, 40…
- Likes it when you say hi to him.

Other
- Has feline teeth.
- It’s unknown whether Reverchie is actually still alive or not. She was claimed to be dead, but her body wasn’t present after the medics recorded the time and cause of death.
